Enveng Group is providing environmental consulting and advisory services to ACCIONA for the delivery of Western Power’s Clean Energy Link North (CELN) project, a major energy infrastructure development extending from Perth’s northern metropolitan corridor towards the Mid-West region of Western Australia. The project comprises multiple transmission line, substation and enabling works packages traversing urban, peri-urban, rural, conservation and environmentally sensitive areas.
Enveng’s role focuses on supporting environmental compliance, environmental planning, risk management and environmental decision-making during construction. The engagement includes preparation of environmental management documentation, environmental investigations, approvals support, site inspections and technical advisory services associated with groundwater, dewatering and acid sulfate soil management risks.
A key component of Enveng’s involvement has been the development of the project-wide Acid Sulfate Soils Management Plan, prepared by Jonathan Wherrett, which establishes the management framework for ASS assessment, groundwater management and dewatering activities across multiple work packages. This includes consideration of environmentally sensitive areas, wetlands, groundwater-dependent ecosystems and conservation lands located throughout the project corridor.
Enveng has also supported investigation and management strategies for several high-priority project packages, including Henley Brook Tee-Off, Padbury-Wangara and the Wangara to Neerabup Double Circuit transmission corridor. Services have included acid sulfate soil risk assessments, groundwater investigations, dewatering management planning and environmental risk mapping to support project planning and construction delivery.
